Founded in 2017, Ferian is rooted in the traditions of symbolic jewellery. Modern pieces are crafted with a timeless heirloom quality, adaptable for everyday wear. The collections express the beauty of permeance and celebrates the transformative quality of jewellery.

Committed to conserving British heritage craft, Ferian is designed in London by founder Leonie Branston using responsibly sourced materials. We proudly manufacture using the ancient method of lost-wax casting. After stone setting and a meticulous hand polish, pieces are transported by bicycle to be hallmarked in the historic jewellery quarter of Hatton Garden.

Independently run, designed and created, nearly all Ferian pieces are made to order. We value quality and care, and prioritise a personal experience to find the perfect piece and fit for our customer.

Since the launch of Ferian we have seen press coverage from British Vogue, American Vogue, The Times, The Gentlewoman, The Financial Times, Self Service,The Observer and more.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Leonie is an accomplished womenswear designer, and avid collector of antique clothing, watches and accessories. Beginning her career in mid 90s London at Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan, Leonie then moved to New York to design for J.Crew and Calvin Klein. In 2006 she returned to London as head of womenswear at Margaret Howell, where she continues to consult on clothing and accessories today.

Ferian is committed to making our jewellery in England. All pieces are designed and hand made in London.  We have an established working relationship with a family-owned jewellery workshop in North London.  This local partnership allows us to work with their expert craftspeople whose inherited skills can realise Ferian designs to the highest standards, whilst reducing our carbon footprint (we just cycle to the workshop and assay office for hallmarking) and ensuring we have first-hand knowledge of their working environment and practices. The majority of Ferian pieces are made to order, greatly cutting down on waste

GOLD AND SILVER SOURCING

Our gold and silver are responsibly sourced from an approved LBMA (London Bullion Market) supplier – The LBMA audit verifies the legitimacy of gold and silver supply chains, ensuring sourcing meets international ethical standards.

 Ferian respects the environment and uses recycled /recyclable packaging. For packing material we use biodegradable paper and tissue. We ship in compostable mailing bags. Our packaging is sourced from Sussex based The Tiny Box company – you can learn more here: https://www.tinyboxcompany.co.uk Our jewellery bags are made from undyed cotton in Cambridgeshire and traditionally screen printed.
